The situation
Feedback was collected on printed forms and survey printouts, and most of it never got typed up. Confirmation emails were edited by hand from a spreadsheet. The data funders ask for existed, just not in a form anyone could use.
Drum Happy CIC · Community wellbeing
Drum Happy runs community drumming sessions for wellbeing. Funders want to see who came and whether they felt better afterwards. Collecting that was the part that kept falling over.

Feedback was collected on printed forms and survey printouts, and most of it never got typed up. Confirmation emails were edited by hand from a spreadsheet. The data funders ask for existed, just not in a form anyone could use.
Every booking email now carries a link to a short wellbeing form. The answers land in one Google Sheet next to the bookings, with a report that shows the numbers visually, ready for a funding application.
Their booking platform, Zeffy, could already send confirmations and reminders on its own. So we used what they had, and took the automation platform we had planned out of the build. One less monthly bill, one less thing to look after.
“It should be like night and day. Previously we had an incomplete system... It's going to make a huge difference.”
Everything runs in Drum Happy’s own Zeffy and Google accounts. There is no platform of ours in the middle and nothing to renew with us.
“I didn’t think that you’d be able to use the kind of stuff that we’re already using and just make it do the job really well.” Elk Burland, founder.
Drum Happy is named here with their written permission.
